The last note . . .

Well hey #PotterPride fans. Thanks for continuing to view #PotterPride, I am working hard on trying to keep it updated. Before I get into tonight's Blog Post, I wanted to say thanks for viewing #PotterPride first of all, but secondly I wanted to let you know that I am trying to add some new features to the blog. So if you see anything weird looking on the site for the next few days just remember that it is because I am working on some new things for the blog. Well now lets get to this Blog Post shall we?

John Williams, he was the very lucky first composer of the Harry Potter films. He did the first three films but then left the franchise forever. We hoped he would come back for the final films, but Alexandre Desplat took his place. After "Prisoner of Azkaban," Patrick Doyle took the place of composer for the Harry Potter film, "Goblet of Fire." He only stayed on for one film in the series, then Nicholas Hooper took the stand of Composer for the next two films. Which finally brings us back to Alexandre Desplat. John Williams will always be my favorite composer (so far) of the Harry Potter films, but Alex took second place with his score from "Part One" of Deathly Hallows. He also took the spot as my favorite song from the entire Franchise's soundtracks, "Godric's Hollow Graveyard" (first used to be "A Window to the Past" from POA. This though is not really what I am here to talk about really. What I wanted to talk about was some news that was released today. Today, I found out that the last note in the Harry Potter franchise was recorded for "Part Two" of Deathly Hallows, composed by Alex. As a fan of the Harry Potter soundtracks this got me really really moved and saddened. I mean yeah I know I said that their really is no such thing as the end for Harry Potter, but it is just sad to hear the news that the final note was officially recorded for the final film of the Harry Potter Franchise. It has been ten years, and now it is all coming to a some-what of an end. The really is no end, it will just be a whole new beginning. Anyway though, yes, as you might have known (from Potter's Army) I am a fan of the music from Harry Potter, well ironically this happened to fall in line with tonight's 50 countdown celebration event, listen to some music from the Harry Potter soundtracks, which I am actually doing right now. Are you a fan though? Are you sad by hearing this news that the soundtracks are done being made? Were you a fan of them just as much as I was? Email me at noahmarkbitney@gmail.com with what you have to say about this topic please. So yes today was the final day for people who worked on the music for the films, their last day for which they have been working on this music for all of us for over 10 years.

Well thanks for reading everyone. I am hoping that you enjoyed this blog post. I know I enjoyed writing it, as I always do plus I love talking about the music for the Harry Potter films! Well I might be doing another Blog Post tonight so make sure you check back in everyone! Thanks again though for reading.

Noah Bitney
